Hi! I'm Laura.
I am a Death Doula, Conscious Dying Coach, and the owner of Living Liminally.
I accidentally entered the world of death care at age 19 when I started working at a cemetery and funeral home. From that time on, I knew I'd found my soul's work. I accompanied people who were planning ahead to alleviate stress on their loved ones, walked alongside the dying and their families in their last days, and remained a steady, calm presence as families grieved the loss of their loved ones. While life took me in a few other directions for a number of years, I have arrived back to that work in a new capacity: as a death doula.
When I'm Not Working As a Doula
I was born and raised in Greeley, CO and returned in my late 20s after moving away for a time. There's something about falling in love with your hometown as an adult that is particularly special! I enjoy hanging out downtown enjoying local coffee, live music, great microbreweries, and fun food.

Some of the most transformative experiences in my life have happened on my numerous trips to the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. My time and relationships there have taught me what it is to show up with no agenda, hold others' truths, and be transformed by the experiences of others. Those experiences are key to the work that I do as a doula.

I live in Greeley with my partner, Emily, our two cats: Nebula & Cassius, and our corgi, Toasted Marshmallow.
