Welcome to Living Liminally.
lim·i·nal
/ˈlimənəl/
occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.

Here, we talk about the the moments before, during, and after death.
Nothing is off limits. Nothing is taboo.
It's just you and me, your Doula, talking about what it is that matters most to you.
Here, we tend to the spaces in-between.
Why consider work with a death doula?
Much like someone preparing to give birth might opt to have a doula to help them explore options, define their ideal scenarios, advocate with friends, family, and medical providers, and more, a death doula does the same... Just on the other side of life.

Death doulas, also often called sacred passage doulas, end-of-life-doulas, or conscious dying coaches, provide non-medical emotional, practical, and supportive care and education for those who are facing their own mortality, for dying persons, and for their loved ones.

My doula practice largely centers around five areas of life and death:
-
The physical care of my body while I am still living
-
My emotional and relational life with myself and others
-
My deepest center, also sometimes called my spiritual self
-
The logistical care of my body after I die
-
The legacy I wish to leave behind

Working with a doula is a brave decision.
The work we do together is deep heart work. Talking about death can be scary and daunting and we often feel ill-equipped to go it alone. You don't have to be the expert. Let me help.
